How to make your vision the one that happens

I’m sure you have a wonderful vision – whether it’s about a relationship, a team, your personal life, or your aspirations regarding your work. And left to your own imagination, you can see something extraordinarily wonderful, exactly how it could be.  You feel it uplift you when you imagine it unfolding and becoming your ideal.

What happens when your vision meets “reality”? You face a choice. You can either go through life living in other people’s visions, or you can discover how to make your vision happen.

Whose vision becomes reality? That’s what matters.

  • Marco was told to make an organizational change that would devastate his team. His boss wouldn’t listen to reason.

  • Indra was trying to get her organization to make changes that would transform their customers' experience and bring in revenue. All she got were blank looks.

  • Jon was a Program Manager, with no authority but lots of responsibility. He was trying to get a team to do some needed metric gathering. They had no interest and ignored him.

  • Graham was a senior executive, brought in to save the organization after three rounds of incompetent leadership. He was met with entrenched thinking and lack of trust.

  • Judy was successful at work, but pulling her hair out because her husband, who needed to drastically bring down his cholesterol levels, wouldn’t listen to her and was headed for a cardiac disaster.

While they might seem different, all 5 of these examples show two visions coming up against each other. Which one will become real? Do you know how to make it yours?

Even normally successful people go about this the hard way. They push and they strain, and they wonder why it’s so hard. They talk about the benefits till they’re blue in the face. They meet with no interest. They talk about the consequences of not doing it until they’re exhausted. No interest. They use logic and reason that Aristotle himself would applaud.  No interest.

This does not need to be you. It does not need to be hard. It’s not luck or other people that shape reality to your vision. It’s know-how and skill.

If your vision becomes real, you can show the world what you’re capable of and you will reap the rewards.

  • What does this mean for Marco? Marco talked to his boss using what he learned. Marco’s boss went to his boss, who came back and said that this time Marco’s message got through and the Executive Leadership Team decided to reverse their decision. The whole organization is happy about it. Marco’s boss’s boss is now coming to him for his opinion.

  • Indra’s organization hit “Refresh” and is delighting in all the positive changes. She’s gotten promoted and gets high-fives in the hall.

  • Jon made it happen and has gotten two promotions.

  • Graham built trust and enthusiasm within the organization and they are all breathing a big sigh of relief. They are aligned behind the new vision and collaborating on a bright new future.

  • Judy’s husband is eating broccoli and watching the numbers go down. Judy is ecstatic.

What did they discover that most people, even very successful people, don’t know? The secret to creating resistance-free, big change, fast.

When you have that ability, you can create unlimited positive impact.  You can change a mind.  You can change a culture.  You can change lives.

This is the reason we created Beyond Persuasion. To offer a new route to extraordinary outcomes and your vision without the pain and struggle most people experience trying to make it real. There is nothing like it available anywhere.

Registration for Beyond Persuasion: the new route to extraordinary outcomes has started. We’ve expanded registration and seats are available. The training material, including 34 videos, will become available next Wednesday, September 10.  There is no particular time scheduled on September 10 when you need to start, it’s just when the course material becomes available.

During the course, you’ll learn how to develop the right strategy for approaching anyone to create an extraordinary outcome.

It’s not just useful at work. Here’s an email I received from a graduate who also used what he learned at home:

“In truth we owe you much more than just a new way to make things happen. This helped me help my daughter in school in ways I never expected. The course has brought a light into my home that has transformed the way my entire family interacts. It has in fact made us better, more patient, and more thoughtful parents. And I’m not even going to start on the changes it’s brought to my wife and I. Our ability to talk our way into a solution, instead of frustration, has been nothing short of a miracle.”

Life is a story of two choices: realize your own vision, or live within the one defined by others.

It’s a joy for me to deliver this course. I am personally blown away by how much people enjoy it and what they accomplish after completing this course, both at work and at home. The one thing I can tell you from experience with many students is that Beyond Persuasion: The new route to extraordinary outcomes lives up to its name.

A focused commitment to acquire new skills is a small investment to make for having this level of ability for the rest of your life. I personally would love to see your visions become real.

Be the cause!

Ingrid

P.S. We got a lot of questions about Beyond Persuasion over the past two weeks. Here are some of the answers to make sure everything is clear:

Q: Who is this for?

A: It applies to you if you’re working to change the world around you, to make a difference, if you’re trying to help people, make your voice heard, create transformation, lead, persuade, sell, or influence.  And everyone tells us it helps them at home.

Q: Is there a schedule or is this self-paced?

A: What’s wonderful about this course is that it’s self-paced so you can set your own schedule, but there’s lots of personal interaction with an expert coach as you complete the exercises and apply what you’re learning to your life. The coach is there to ensure you are successful applying what you’re learning to your particular situations. And, if you like, you can meet and talk about the principles and how others are applying what they’re learning with the other participants in the online community and the facilitated live sessions.

Q: How long do I have to complete the course?

A: It’s a 30-hour course and you have until December 10th to go through all of it. One person who completed the course emailed me yesterday to tell me that every moment he was on the course was “captivating”. It’s a very new way to look at things and a very new approach.

Feel free to email me directly if you have any more questions.
